2. The Maritime Incident & Operational Challenge
During rough sea transit, severe rolling caused the lashing and securing systems of over-length industrial drive shafts to fail aboard MV AL MANAMAH (chartered/operated by Hapag-Lloyd).
The Critical Hazards:
Container Penetration: The heavy steel shafts broke loose and pierced the roofs and sidewalls of adjacent dry containers, wedging tightly between corner posts and stack cell guides.

Phase 1: Controlled Extraction & Rigging
